At a Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas this spring, Donald Trump Jr stood onstage beside his brother Eric and delivered a simple message to a cheering crowd. The Trump family was all in on crypto. What sounded like bravado now looks like a balance sheet. In the span of a single year, Trump Jr’s net worth has surged roughly sixfold, rising from an estimated $50 million in late 2024 to about $300 million today, according to Forbes. The engine behind that jump is not podcasting, book deals, or legacy real estate.
The centerpiece of Trump Jr’s windfall is World Liberty Financial, a Trump-linked crypto venture that has quietly become a cash machine. The company has sold an estimated $1.4 billion worth of tokens. Early filings suggest President Donald Trump initially received about 52% of proceeds, while the remaining family share, roughly 22%, was split among Eric, Don Jr, and Barron Trump. Even assuming later deals altered the structure, a seven percent slice for each heir would translate into around $80 million apiece after taxes.
World Liberty’s stablecoin added another layer of upside. Since launching earlier this year, it has contributed an estimated $19 million to Trump Jr’s net worth, assuming equal ownership among the siblings. On top of that sits a locked cache of World Liberty tokens. Although currently illiquid and heavily discounted, those holdings could still be worth roughly $34 million on paper.
Another major driver is American Bitcoin, a crypto mining company cofounded by Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump in March. Public filings show Eric Trump holds 7.3% of the company, while Donald Jr is listed as an investor without a disclosed stake. Analysis of SEC documents suggests his ownership likely falls between one and five percent. At the upper end of that range, the stake could be worth as much as $80 million. Earlier this year, when mining stocks were riding higher, Forbes estimated Trump Jr’s net worth near $500 million, before American Bitcoin shares slid back.
Crypto is not the only contributor. Trump Jr’s two million shares in New America Acquisition I Corp, a special purpose acquisition company, gained more than $20 million in value when the stock debuted on the New York Stock Exchange. He also holds an estimated $10 million across a cluster of politically aligned companies, including Trump Media and Technology Group, Public Square, Dominari Holdings, GrabAGun, Unusual Machines, and others with close ties to conservative investors.
Real estate still plays a role, though it is no longer the headline act. His New York City co-op near the East River and his Florida home in Jupiter, owned jointly, have appreciated by about $1 million combined over the past year. Licensing deals across the Middle East and Asia brought in roughly $3.2 million in 2024 alone, with additional contracts signed this year in India, Qatar, Romania, the Maldives, and Saudi Arabia. Forbes estimates his share of the family’s licensing empire at $34 million.
Trump Jr also holds a partnership stake in 1789 Capital, a conservative venture firm that reportedly manages more than $1 billion in assets and counts investments in companies like SpaceX, xAI, Juul, and defense startup Vulcan Elements.
The throughline is clear. After being cut off by major financial institutions following his father’s first presidency, Trump Jr says the family turned to crypto out of necessity. What began as a workaround has become the dominant source of his wealth, and the numbers suggest the bet is still paying off.
